November 2013 Newsletter

Hello my lovelies!

As the month of November is wearing on steadily, we hope that you are all bracing yourself for the oncoming chill, as well as the holiday season. As the long, cold months of this New England winter approach we’d like to give you an update on all things Grey Season.

The Kickstarter
As you may or may not know our Kickstarter is up and running in full swing. In the first two days, we have raised nearly $2,000 (20%) of our total $10,000 goal! We’d like to express our deepest sentiments to those that have donated so graciously thus far. To those that are unaware of our Kickstarter, allow us to briefly explain…

We have a once in a lifetime opportunity to record our full length LP at Levon Helm’s Barn Studio in Woodstock, New York. (Levon Helm; of course being the drummer and one of the three vocalists for the “The Band”). If you are unfamiliar with “The Band” we would strongly recommend you rectify this situation immediately by either watching “The Last Waltz” or listening to “The Band – The Brown Album”. We also have the opportunity to record with Grammy winning engineer Justin Guip and established local producer Benny Grotto.

We are calling on the kindness of our friends, fans and family to help us make this record. We have some truly great incentives for those of you who choose to donate so be sure to check those out. We don’t ask you wonderful people for much but right now we are calling on you to help us! Any donation is greatly appreciated and will ultimately go towards funding an album that will be yours just as much as it is ours. Our Kickstarter is up and running until 11:59 pm on December 22nd. Let’s do this thing!

A Show…
For those of our beautiful fans that find themselves in the Boston metropolitan area this upcoming month, we will be playing at ‘Cafe 939′ (The Red Room) on December 6th. As a band we are rather excited for this opportunity, since the last time we played at ‘Cafe 939′ we performed as a trio. Come out to the show and celebrate our triumphant return as a 5-piece! Unfortunately that is the only show that we have lined up for the moment due to the fact that we need to start the arduous process of rehearsing to record. We need to start tightening up the screws on the Grey Season machine so that in January when we record our album we can create something truly beautiful.

That my friends is the extent of the Grey Season news for the month. Watch this space for another exciting episode of the Grey Season Newsletter. Until then keep your heads up, your nails clean, and your friends happy.

Much love,

P.S. Here’s our kickstarter video:
